"If you fail to determine where you want to go, you will end up where you don't want to be." RMJ
I wish goal setting was a subject taught in schools today. Out of all the subjects taught today, I believe this is a priority. How advantageous is it to "Ace" English, Mathematics or Science in school if you fail to set goals; those accolades will amount to nothing. It is not the honor roll student but the goal setter who accomplishes the most in life.
Skeptical Huh? Did you know Abraham Lincoln went to school a total of 1 1/2 years and yet he became the President of the Greatest Nation in the world; during some of the toughest times in our Nations' history. Moreover, he lost many senatorial campaigns just to reach the feat of President. My next two examples may not appeal to you, nevertheless, they are successful in their respective fields. Did you know both Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck never went past a year in college, yet they are at the top of their respective fields. Why? Goal setting! Did you know Bill Gates never finished college, yet he started Microsoft and is a billionaire today because of it. I'm sure I don't have to tell you this, but the creator of the very successful social network called Facebook never went to college either. Truthfully, the examples are many but my time is limited. Search it out for yourself. Even the scholars who have accomplished much were goal setters.
