Living For Security Can Be Frustrating

"Security is mostly a superstition.  It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it.  Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure.  Life is either a daring adventure or nothing."  Helen Keller

So many people strive to achieve security only to find frustration.  Just when you think you have enough money, other problems arise which money cannot fix.  It could be you receive the promotion you thought would make you feel secure only to find out you can't stand your boss or talk of layoffs soon follows.  Better yet, you meet the person you believe will fufill your every dream only to find out this person too has faults and weaknesses. As the saying goes, "the only thing for certain is uncertainty."  Instead of living to find security, we should live to find the purpose for our existence.  If you are a believer as I am a believer in the God of the Bible, you know He does not create anything without a purpose.  Whether you believe it or not, you are special and you do have a purpose.  No one ever creates anything without a purpose.  The person who invented the hammer had a purpose.  The Wright Brothers had a purpose for the plane.  Mr. Ford had a purpose for the car.  Bill Gates had a purpose for the computer.  If you search out every invention or creation, you will see it has a purpose.  When you find the purpose for your existence, it is then that you will find security.  Not security as the world provides it, but security as God provides it.
