Talent is not enough; to achieve uncommon results you must work like an uncommon person -RMJ
Talent is usually given the credit for the success of people in their particular field but rarely is it the sole cause of their success. Talent, as amazing as it may be, only serves to get you noticed and is a good starter but not a good finisher. Talent in High School makes you a stand out but the higher up the ranks you climb the more you find other people with equal talent. Thus, you realize talent is not enough. Talent makes you average at best in the hierarchy of things. As you move up the ranks, you realize talent plus character moves you up and keeps you on top. Michael Jordan was one of the most talented players in college but that didn't keep him from working hard and refining his game. Although he was talented, he didn't depend on his talent alone; he practiced harder than most of his contemporaries and it showed. They say he was the first one on the practice court and the last one to leave the court. He became one of the greatest professional basketball players to ever play the game but he didn't rely on his talent alone; he practiced, prepared and disciplined himself. It was talent + hard work that made him great. Will you push yourself past the talent threshold?
