Don't be afraid of pressure. Pressure is what turns a lump of coal into a diamond. - Unknown
This quote reminds me of the time I started dating Carmen, who is now my wife. Every so often, we would go to Pizza Hut in Donna, TX. and the first thing I would do is place our order. Then, I would visit the Old Jukebox there and pick a song by John Anderson called, "I'm just an old chunk of coal." The chorus went something like this: I'm just an old chunk of coal but I'm gonna be a diamond someday.........." Although we would like diamond like results in our lives without work or pressure, such nonsense is not realistic. It is hard work and pressure that makes the average person into an above average person if they decide to view the pressure as a teaching moment and not a dreadful or bitter thing. It would behoove you to do the latter since pressure and hard work are part of life. If pressure is not part of your life from time to time, you are probably reading this from Heaven.
