Love is not a feeling to be felt but an action to be learned. - Unknown
Most relationships break up because one or both in the relationship have more love for themselves than the other person. It's all about me attitude. However, that premise is all wrong. Let me get Biblical for a minute; I go back to the Bible because there exists no other manual written to the human race as old and reliable as the Bible. No where in the Bible are we commanded to love ourselves; that's a given. We are commanded to love our neighbor as ourself. The Bible also teaches that love worketh no ill. In other words, when you love your spouse like we are commanded to, you won't hurt them; you will bend over backwards to do for them. Why do spouses commit adultery? Because they don't love; love worketh no ill. Why do spouses get nasty with their words? Because they don't love; love worketh no ill. Why do spouses get rude? Because they don't love; love worketh no ill. Why do spouses abuse? Because they don't love; love worketh no ill. You will never be happy living an "it's all about me" life. No one will ever satisfy.
awww man... so it's not all about me... j/k I totally agree with you Juno. I've seen it from both ends. I am really blessed to have met my husband, he is a God fearing loving man.
