Go Ahead and Take the Risk
"Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly." -Robert F. Kennedy
People who have achieved great feats in life did so risking great failures. Yes, the fear factor is always great, but so are regrets. You will never swim if you don't let go of the edge. Listen, we would still be loading our DOS disk into our computers and learning formulas if Bill Gates had not risked great failure. Oh, he happens to be the richest man in the world. For those who do not know what a DOS disk is, you're either to young or to old; don't have time to explain. We would still be depending on inferior communication methods if Alexander Graham Bell hadn't risked on his dream. As a result of his dream, we have been able to communicate through phones for years. Had Charles Goodyear not chanced on his dream of inventing a better wheel, travel would still be rough. By the way, he lost everything to see his dream live. The man who perfected his dream was not Charles but he named the tire in honor of Charles because of his investment to the cause. Had the Wright Brothers not chased their foolish dream, to fly, we would not be able to get across the country in a matter of hours. To be truthful, had these fellas not chased their dreams, others would have done so. My point is great success only comes on the risk of great failure. Is there something you have dreamed of doing but are afraid to risk it? If it seems plausible, go after it. In the end, you will be more upset by what you didn't do, than what you did.
