Stop Relying on How You Feel

As good as emotions make us feel, they will never help you finish the job.  Emotions are similar to the honeymoon experience in marriage or the first day of a new job you sought for.  The excitement and newness drive you initially, but eventually it is up to character to get you through to the finish line.  Yes, of course you'll still have your emotional highs, but you realize that those highs are good benefits but not to be trusted as a primary source.  As you fulfill your obligations, the emotions will once again permeate your soul.  My point is this, emotions have their place but they are not to lead.  If allowed to lead, you'll be up and down the spectrum.  You will start......stop........start......stop because emotions are subject to circumstances and health.  Your character is to be your driving force.  Emotions are bonuses your receive from a job well done.
